The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has informed the Department of External Affairs in Saint Lucia it no longer issues visa labels for visa applications processed in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago as of 1st July 2020.
The Republic of Korea immigration system does not require visa labels to be affixed to a page in an applicant's passport as visa status can be checked and verified using the advanced visa information system with recent development in technology.
The Embassy will notify applicants of their visa details by issuing 'Visa Grant Notice' on the official web site at www.visa.go.kr where applicants can print out the document, at any time, by entering personal details such as passport number, date of birth and other relevant information. (A detailed guideline for obtaining the Visa Grant Notice will be posted on the web-site in due course.)
The Visa Grant Notice will contain applicants' personal details including name, date of birth and passport number as well as visa details including visa issuance number, status of stay, period of stay, number of entries, date of issue, validity of visa, and issuing authority. (Please refer to the Sample Document as attached)
All Foreigners seeking entry into ROK with valid visa are required to present the Visa Grant Notice to Korean Immigration authorities in the process of immigration inspection.
Notwithstanding the label-free visa policy, applicants must present and submit a passport for the purpose of document and identity verification.
