The following are temporary measures taken by the Brazilian Government in order to prevent further spread of Covid-19 in the country.  As of December 30th, 2020, all travelers destined for Brazil must present at the airline check-in counter:

• A document proving laboratory testing (RT-PCR) for COVID-19 with a negative/non-reagent result, performed within 72 hours prior to departure time.  The test must be carried out in a laboratory certified by the health authority of the country of boarding. 

In the case of application or stopovers where the traveler remains in a restricted area of the airport, in the 72-hour period will be considered in relation to boarding on the first leg.

Children between the ages of two and twelve will need to take the test if travelling unaccompanied.

Children under the age of two do not need to take the test. 

• A Traveler’s Health Declaration duly filled in, with the agreement on the sanitary measures that must be complied with during his/her stay in Brazil.  This form can be accessed at https://formulario.anvisa.gov.br (sample attached herewith).

• International flights transiting or doing maintenance in Brazilian airports are exempt from these requirements, as long as passengers do not go through immigration.

• Flights to Brazil from the United Kingdom have been temporarily suspended.  Departure to Brazil of foreign travelers from the UK or travelers who have been there in the last 14 days is prohibited.
