Due to the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano in Saint Vincent and the issuance of an Evacuation Order of all premises in the areas designated in the Red Zones on the Northeast and Northwest, the Department of External Affairs advises Saint Lucian Nationals in Saint Vincent to follow guidance from local authorities and evacuate from the affected Zones.

The Department of External Affairs and NEMO Saint Lucia continue to explore the most feasible options to facilitate the speedy repatriation of nationals and encourages those desirous of returning home to register by completing the online registration form for Repatriation of Nationals to Saint Lucia at https://crm.externalaffairs.gov.lc/repatriation or telephone +1 758 468-4500, +1 758 468-4514 or +1 758 468-4517 or email :  consularservices@externalaffairs.gov.lc.

Nationals repatriated must strictly adhere to all protocols imposed by the Ministry of Health and Wellness due to COVID-19 mitigation. Repatriation does NOT exempt any person from required quarantine or isolation stipulations. All returning nationals are to observe and comply with the protocols upon arrival, including mandatory screening by Port Health Personnel and subsequent transfer to a government operated quarantine facility. 

Saint Lucian nationals who decide not to depart Saint Vincent should be prepared to shelter in the safe zone for an undetermined amount of time, remain vigilant and maintain active awareness of local conditions by monitoring bonafide news outlets, the NEMO website, and NEMO social media handles for updated information on evacuation shelters and procedures.
